How to get
started...
If you've got a car of your own, it may make sense to
use it for the Defensive Driving Course sessions. This will give you the
opportunity to discuss any aspect of the car that you're not sure about, and
help you to familiarise yourself with it. If you intend to purchase a new
car, it would be an excellent opportunity to hire the same model and take
the course in your car to be.
During your course (even during the learner driving
lessons) our highly trained instructors will also show you safety aids and how
to use them properly. Basic Emergency Aid & Fire Fighting techniques are
also included.
DDS aims to give you a
short cut to a higher standard of driving. We achieve this by helping you
learn what's important in a controlled way (with an instructor) rather than in
the usual, trial-and-error way that used to be your only option. Because it's
controlled, it's quick - you'll learn in a few hours what most people take
years to find out - if they ever do! Defensive

take a driving course when I have a licence? Why should I be interested?
A:
There are more than 12,000
traffic accidents a year in Malta. This figure does not include near misses
or unreported
accidents. Most drivers think they are both safer and more skilful than the
average driver, yet 95% of accidents are caused by human error; mainly
unsafe driving practises. You realise that driving conditions change and are
becoming more difficult. In order to keep pace with this you need to review,

You will need to know and follow the guidance in the current issue of the
Highway Code and our Roadcraft techniques. However you will be unwise to apply

driving is sometimes mistakenly perceived to be slow, hesitant, boring or
unrewarding driving. Let us reassure you - it's not. Defensive Driving is only
about controlling risk and gaining time to react. Sure we'll help you to improve
your driving skills and minimise your chances of being involved in an avoidable
crash. However at Defensive Driving School we'll make sure this process is an

Our focus is to design bespoke (tailor- made) driving courses that are matched to individual driver's existing level of skill and expense. Should the following courses not suit your individual requirements, please let us know. We'll then endeavor to tailor a course of training specifically for you. Courses can also be taken in 90 minutes sessions and the quantity of sessions will depend upon the improvement and the current skill of the pupil. Whilst courses are usually one-to-one in the pupil's own car, we'd be happy to arrange and use one of our new cars or hire a model of your choice.
